Mr. Chen Jiangong, a famous artist in the fields of Chinese drawing, handwriting and Carving, was born into an artistic family in March 13th 1938 in the city of Baoding. Mr. Chen was one of the innovators of Hebei Drawing Institution, and was working in Hebei Handwriting Association as director. Now he is undertaking positions in several institutions, including Hebei Drawing Institution, Handwriting Association of China, Art Association Guangdong branch, etc. He also works as consultant in “Sports World” magazine of ShenZhen, Shenzhen sport center, and Shenzhen Modern Artists’ Association.  Early in the 70’, the works of Mr. Chen aroused great attention in the first Handwriting Exhibition of China and Japan. The works of Mr. Chen Jiangong were greatly appreciated and praised by many experts abroad, for example, the Chairman of Sino-Japan Friendship Association, the principle of Japanese Foreign College (the vice chairman of Sino-Japan Friendship Association), the ex-chairman of “Daily News”, and many other celebrities abroad. Mr. Chen joined many global exhibitions and competitions, and has won many prizes in Asia, Europe, and The US. His “Shou Xian Tu” won the first prize in the fifty-three International Cultural-Art Exhibition in Japan, and was added into “China Annual Art Handbook”, “International Contemporary Handwriting Collection”, and “Classics of International Contemporary Artists”. Many art works of Mr. Chen are on show in national museums of more than twenty countries and personal exhibitions. Mr. Chen has published “Chen Jiangong Chinese Drawing Calendar”, “Textbook of Youth Drawing”, and the first disk of drawing and handwriting in China.“ Chen Jiangong Handwriting, Drawing, and Carving Works” It has been several decades since Mr. Chen began to practice drawing and handwriting. He learned and imitated a lot, and finally shaped his own style of art. His skills of carving are thought of highly by experts and are worthy of studying and researching. Every piece of work has its unique characteristics and feature, which marked a new epoch of the art of Carving. The works of Mr. Chan can be easily found in newspapers and TV programs, which provide great praise to his contribution to the development of international art. |
